A MIDI harp... hmmm... sounds like an interesting technical challenge.

The issue of detecting subtle variations in airflow, pressure, oral cavity
volume, etc. are not at all beyond current technology (with one caveat - price)
and could be implemented if you were willing to pay the price for the sensors
which would need to be in place.

For example, ultrasound could be used to detect the size of the oral cavity. 
Solid state piezo-electric devices could be used to produce the signal and to
detect the return signal.  Thus no "moving" parts for this subsystem.

I'd be very interested to know how people are going about implementing this.
If anyone hears anything new, please, keep the list up to date.

This sounds like fun.
