I always presumed that lots of these places would not even be open on these
nights anyway, and the 'booze-buying public' ends up being the players or
the friends of the players *ONLY*.  So I never thought (still don't think)
these things put people out of work, or limited the venues, so to speak. 
Interesting twist, John, to an already overplayed thread. Agree with the
invite friends over/block party suggestion.  Here we go again ??....:)
