I would like to bring to your attention somethings about "bending" the reeds.
 There is no such thing as bending the reed "up."   If for instance, you are
going from c to d and you "bend" the e reed, you will get the sound of d.  It
sounds like you are bending up. You do not actually do any bending of the
reed by your breath pressure.  All you do is slow down the vibrato to a lower
tone.  For instance, you blow into "A" which vibrates at 440 cps.  You use
your breath to slow down the vibration and you get a lower tone.  The same
thing happens on the diatonics, blues and chromatics.  Some pros can use
their breath to so called "bend" (slow down the vibration) the reeds as much
at 1 1/2 to 2 steps down from the original tone.  Some pros are so good that
they can play the chromatic scale on a diatonic harmonica, and they can play
the diatonic like a chromatic harmonica.
