Replace the reed.  When a reed goes flat, it is because of very small
cracks in the reed.  These cracks are sometimes seen with the naked
eye, but quite often go undetected without a magnifying glass.  

Sometimes, the reed will get dirty and change pitch.  Clean the
reed with Naval Jelly and don't use any abrasive brushes.  Just
remove the wind savers (if equipped) and soak.
