Perhaps in his formative years Carey Bell (or any other of the greats
such as Cotton, Musselwhite, the 2 Walters, the 2 Sonny Boys, Jr
Wells, Butterfield ...etc) was given the opportunity to play along w/
a professional player at a live gig.  This is not inconceivable,
actually most probable.  Sure seems like such an experience could
inspire a person to pursue the instrument more than just casually.

What self-respecting harmonica player wouldn't enjoy jamming along w/
Carey Bell and his band?!

If audience participation is such an annoyance, one could always stay
home and listen to records, now THERE'S some fun.
