Re: Acoustic Playing with Mic



I imagine this is a bit of a lame set up, esp. with the tech heads on 
this list...but i use an AT phantom powered mic for both vocals and 
acoustic harp. Rkt's AB box is a nice, low-tech and elegant solution, 
though. When we play smaller clubs and rooms, I find the "set it hot and 
learn to work it" approach tends to do just fine. Larger concert halls 
and the like usually find us working with the headliner's sound crew and 
we've rarely been butchered in the mix. Simple set ups and quick sound 
checks make for happy board jockeys.

I'm somewhat of a luddite when it comes to sound set ups, though.
