Re:Les Paul & others



The picture and article of Les Paul which Tomcat Colvin mentions were
originally in one of the New York / New Jersey papers - I saw them a
week ago or so.  A very interesting article - especially how when he had
invented the electric guitar( his original version was called "the log" due
to its appearance) everyone hated it until he hid it behind a "false" guitar
top so it would look like a guitar - then the same audiences thought it was
great.   Perception is reality, as someone once said....

for N. Brunhaber, I haven't heard the new Sugar Blue CD, but if you can
find a copy of Willie Dixon's 1989 CD "Hidden Charms", there is some
very good playing by Sugar on that.  (I wouldn't rate the CD as great
overall, however....)
