Just to be pedantic:

"Compromised tuning" is a compromise between 12TET and Just Intonation.

Not "compromised just intonation",  no such thing. Otherwise anything not
strictly Just Intonation IS "compromised just intonation" including 12TET,
either way its not a helpful term.

This sort of tuning theory is a complex field and confusing to the neophyte at
best, ~much~ more than just tuning reeds to cents.
