Country music pioneer Vernon Dalhart was born on this day in 1883.  Dalhart
began his career as an Opera singer, but began recording Country music in
the early 1920's, singing and playing the harmonica.  He recorded over 1,000
songs.

Country music pioneer Henry Whitter was born on this day in 1892.  Also a
singer and harmonica player, Whitter wrote and recorded many of Country
music's early standards, including "Tom Dooley" and "Wreck of the old 97".

Blues harmonica giant "Big" Walter Horton was born on this day in 1917.
Horton began his career in Memphis and made a few records there before
moving to Chicago and becoming an integral part of the city's Blues scene in
