Country guitar and harmonica player John McGhee was born on this day in
1882.  McGhee worked with guitarist Frank Welling from about 1917 through
the mid-1930's.  They recorded over 250 songs during their career for a
variety of labels.

Blues guitar and harmonica player Woodrow Wilson Adams was born on this day
in 1917.  Adams spent the early part of his career, from the 1940's through
mid-1950's playing around Arkansas with many Blues greats like Howlin' Wolf,
Sonny Boy Williamson II, Robert Nighthawk and others.  He began recording on
his own in the mid-1950's and remained active through the 1960's.

Zdeco guitar and harmonica player Sidney Semien was born on this day in
1938.  Semien began recording his music in 1953.  best known as a guitarist,
Semien would occasionally play the harmonica.

Blues mandolin and harmonica player Yank Rachell died on this day in 1997.
Known primarily as a mandolin player who could also play some harmonica,
Rachell played and recorded with John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson, Sleepy
John Estes, Hammie Nixon and others during his career.
