Major in 3rd Position - Zen Gunslinger style

Start by learning holes 1 - 4 in 3rd position - find the same notes here that
you use in 3rd position holes 4 - 8.

This will mean playing draw notes in holes 2 and 3 at their proper pitch
using controlled bending techniques.

Then, use hole 2 draw - 1st bend (Major 3rd) as a substitute for hole 2 draw
- - 2nd bend (Minor 3rd). It is here during a solo that you can establish the
Major relationship in your line.

When your ideas move to the second octave (holes 4 - 8), you can play it as
normal 3rd position (without hole 5 overblow). Hole 5 draw becomes a "Sharp
9th" and can be very hip sounding if used responsibly in your musical line.
