Chicago-area Blues harmonica player Geneva Red was born on this day in
1969.  She began playing the harmonica after attending a Chicago Blues
Festival in the 1980's and she's since recorded three albums of her music.

Comedian and harmonica player Herb Shriner died on this day in 1970.
Shriner's career began in the 1930's as a harmonica player, adding the
comedy bits as time progressed.  A world-class harmonica player, he also
helped the careers of other harmonica players on his radio and TV shows.
