Thanks for all the advice

Just a week ago I asked about how I could get going on the blues, and as a 
result I've received a huge amount of help, both on- and off-list, all of 
which I've copied on to a Word doc for future reference.  I now have a 
shopping list of recordings, CDs and books long enough to solve my family's 
Christmas present dilemmas for years.  To anyone new to these lists (as I 
was just a few short months ago), I can tell you that this is the first 
place to come for help and advice.  Real live harp players with a depth of 
knowledge and practical experience that you won't get from any book.  And 
witty and friendly with it.
