Loudness

OK, I'm going the wrong way, again.
We've all been discussing how to play at "reasonable" sound levels,
but I just have to ask a question about how to get louder.

I have a 30-watt combo with a 12" speaker. I'm doing some
"harp-friendly" mods to the amp, and I was thinking about building a
cab for the amp that I can load with 4-10"s or 6-8"s...

Will my rig "sound" LOUDER with more speakers, or is this a waste of
time?
