Daily Almanac - January 6

US President Teddy Roosevelt died on this day in 1919. Besides being the
most published President in history and winning the Nobel Peace Prize, he
will probably be best remembered as being one of two harmonica player to be
memorialized on Mt. Rushmore.

Blues harmonica player Kim Wilson was born on this day in 1951. Wilson's
been a major force to reckon with ever since he took over as the frontman
for the Fabulous Thunderbirds. A real student of the masters, Kim Wilson
has guested on dozens of recordings as well a recording a few solo albums of
his own.

Birthday greetings go out to list member Jersey Jerry Simonowits, who was
born on thiss day in 1953. I don't know how long Jerry's been playing, but
I'm sure we all wish him the very best.

That's all I have for today. Have fun and practice.
