A Shure 545S straight into the amp, no effects. Volume on 10, tone on 3. The 
amp has unbelievable punch and response and you can milk many different 
feels out of it depending on your cup and the way you approach each note or 
phrase. AND because it's so small, it makes getting home from the gig via 
bus very easy. :-) Incidentally, thank you Ben for patiently answering all 
of my questions about the Max over these past few months.
