I did get turned around...
(I feel like such an idjit!)

I was actually playing D in 2nd, (A) then went to a G harp- in 3rd?

What was throwing me off was that I was trying to play major scale
tones in 3rd, I think.

OK, so back to 12th, that would be a whole tone lower harp than the
*actual* key, right? - does anyone use this position? Could you cite a
recording I could listen to?
