Re: Bb on a C harp...why?

Hi Roger,

I just had to respond to your most enlightening post. Hmm... Use the right
tool for the job. What a concept!

I spent about six months doing the position study thing only to discover
that about 95% of everything I need to play really sounds best in 1, 2, or
3, with the other 5% covered in 4, 5, 6 and 12. The only thing I really
gained was six months of not working on tone, timing and technique. (The
three T's)

So now that I know all the positions it's okay if I choose not to use every
one of them, isn't it?

It's a bit like the drunks who walk up during the break and ask if I can
play "just like Bob Dylan". I reply "Yes I can, but I choose not to."

Here's to the Austin Jam Camp in October, 2003...
