Blues singer and harmonica player Papa Alexander Lightfoot was  born on this
day in 1924.  Lightfoot began playing the harmonica as a child and made
numerous recordings beginning in the 1950's.  He was active, on and off, in
music until his death in 1971.

Blues guitar and harmonica player Roy Sidney Dunn died on this day in 1988.
Dunn had been working in music since he was nine and during the 1940's he
worked and recorded with Curley Weaver, Blind Willie McTell, Buddy Moss and
others.

Blues harmonica player Shakey Jake Harris died on this day in 1990.  Harris
was an important part of the Chicago Blues Scene from the 1950's until his
death, working with Little Walter, Magic Slim, Muddy Waters, Sunnyland Slim
and others.

Country harmonica player Lonnie Glosson died on this day in 2001.  Glosson
learned how to play the harmonica from his mother and would play
professionally from the 1920's until his death.  He was a regular on the
National Barn Dance radio show and also had a partnership with fellow
harmonica player Wayne Raney that lasted over twenty years.
