Daily Almanac - March 7

I have no events to report for today.

I recently recieved a copy of list member Mike Naz Nazarenko's band "Elliott
and the Untouchables" CD titled "Both Ends Burnin' ". What a great album.
As with their previous album, "Danger Zone" this is a solid album of great
jumpin' swingin' Blues. The band is extremely tight with great vocals. The
songwriting shows a real studious attitude towards the Blues. The songs are
authentic without playing down to the audience. There are also some nice
covers on this album by Jimmy Rogers, Howlin' Wolf and others and the band
handles them with great style.

Mike "Naz" Nazarenko is one heck of great harmonica player. he knows when
to play and when to lay back. He has obviously done a lot of studying of
the styles of the great Chicago harmonica masters as well as their younger
counterparts. I get jealous just listening to him play. I expect to hear a
lot more from Naz in the future, he's simply one of the best I've had the
pleasure to hear in years.

I definitely recommend that you give this band a listen...they are
terrific!!!!

That's all I have for today. Have fun and practice.
