RE: Big Walter's Customized Harp

Rick Estrin sometimes plays 364's tuned to "G" becuse he likes
their quality. However, If Walter Horton did occasionally play a 364 that
certainly doesn't account for his big tone.

I don't mean to appear rude, but In total candor I'm starting to
believe that some the people who express
themselves in this forum are a little bit too obsessed with with equipment,
tweaks and customizations. Hey it's a big tent, and everyone is welcome, but
I just wonder sometimes how the old blues masters were able to create all
this music we love without all the trappings of the modern would-be harp
player,
                                                               Allen

That would also explain the big man's full bodied tone too! I have an
absolute love afair with the big MB's. I wish I could get them in a few
more keys. This harp takes more wind (in my opinion) but what you get in
return is (excuse the french) pure balls.
