[Harp-L] Charlie McCoy is fantastic

--Charlie McCoy is fantastic...
--You can hear elements of appalachian
tunes, old-country fiddle, a touch of the blues.

Good ear--though he'd tell you it's a lot more than a "touch." If you've
never heard his "Tribute to Little Walter" you've missed out on a joy as rare
and strong--as my brother Mojo Red would say--as 18-year-old bourbon. Fiery
Chicago playing with a hint of Appalachia, and every note kills. He's often
cited Little Walter as his favorite harp player. To say nothing of his
playing drums with his left hand and trumpet with his right when Dylan cut "Rainy
Day Women #12 & #35." I think it's high time Charley McCoy's face looked out
at us from a $100 bill. Benjamin Franklin scares little children, plus he
didn't discover electricity. But Charley McCoy sure did.
