an amusing story:

i attended the Harpin' Help benefit in NJ this spring. my 11 year old
daughter was with me. we had a table just to the right of the stage,
and at one point howard levy was standing right next to her when
some friend of his showed up. turning abruptly, the backpack he
had over his shoulder whacked her in the head, then he wandered off.
(she wasn't hurt, just surprised).

ever since then, whenever i'm talking harp stuff and mention his name,
she says "oh, yeah, the guy who whacked me with his backpack."
she also asks an interesting question: if he can play those 12 songs
in 12 keys using just one harp, how come his backpack weighs so much?
