Then there's Buddy Moss who played harp as a sideman on records early in his career--very similar sound. I like to say that Buddy Moss was really both Blind Boy Fuller and Sonny Terry. <g>


My guess is that Sonny Terry played a regional style on harp (real well) just like Blind Boy Fuller, Buddy Moss, Rev Gary Davis, and Josh White (in his pre-folksinger days) did on guitar.
