RE: [Harp-L] McCoy's ALL-American Harp...page 4 (was Bob Dylan)

It's titled... "Learn To Play" All-American Harp...Book and 99 track
CD...
Out of print and hard to get ... Charlie doesn't even have any in
stock...Apparently published in England 1998 by Wise Publications...they
have exclusive rights and a note from Charlie said he was attempting to
get the rights so he could republish...Check
http://www.charliemccoy.com/books.html second item down page...
Through page 44 songs with standard tuning... Page 45 shows how to tune
country harp by Filing the 5th Draw Reed...Various examples using
country tuned harp following there... If you play country probably worth
getting...
I found it at http://www.alibris.com/ search for Charlie McCoy...doesn't
say how many in stock, but mine was new... "Learn to play all the great
American styles--from Chicago blues to Nashville country, or down to the
Rio Grande for Tex-Mex. Easy to follow CD and book for absolute
beginners" for $19.46 plus shipping...
Page 4 has ANECDOTES from his relationships with Bob Dylan, Pam Tillis,
Ringo Star, Simon and Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, Anne Murray, Elvis
Preslet, Ann-Margret, Vince Gill, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and Roy
Orbison..
CD is good and is backed by band for songs other than examples...
Hope that helps...
Ed
