The long awaited 3 day birthday Blues and Arts fest will kick off this
weekend at the Hard Rock Cafe in Key West Florida. Paul's birthday is Dec.
17th.  The event is being spearheaded by his son Gabe and the PBFS.  If you
live in Florida or have a chance to head down there this weekend, do so.
Listed below are members of Gabe Butterfield's band. There are other guest
musicians on tap including Sam Lay and Sonny Rhodes. The list grows as the
week goes on.

For Blues Lovers a 3 day Fundraising Music, Art & Food Extravaganza  Not to
be Missed

On route to Key West is singer/songwriter Elizabeth Barraclough (Paul's
girlfriend) with her unforgettable voice. . Elizabeth is a warm souled
passionate performer, a legend onto herself, who will be gracing our stages
with her performance and stories of those days with Paul Butterfield.

The following musicians will be performing in the Gabriel Butterfield Blues
Band. I had to snip a lot of the bios to keep this short.

Among the performers will be two time award winning Jazz
performer Maurice Jacox (Vocals, Flute & Sax, PBFS Performer)?previously of
Mike  Bloomfield's Electric Flag on sax & flute coming in from Minneapolis.
 
Singer, songwriter and drummer Gabriel Butterfield.

Arriving from Sarnia Ontario Canada will be PBFS Archivist--Greg Wilson
previously of The Russell Jackson Band whose harp playing has been highly
impacted by the unique style and techniques of Paul Butterfield. Greg has
spent his lifetime learning and inquiring on all aspects of Paul
Butterfield?s life and career. His in-depth knowledge, passion and love for
Paul Butterfield has placed him in the position as the Paul Butterfield
Information Archivist and Assistant Developer for the newly established
Paul Butterfield Fund and Society (PBFS). His styles of music are
preferably Blues, Jazz, Funk, Soul and Rock and Roll.

 NYC Drummer Frank Molina who has performed and worked with many
notable and renowned performers including Martin Medeski & Wood and Clyde
Stubblefield among countless others with his dynamic sound.

>From Alabama, Chris Spies on Keyboard whose career has merged with the
George Clinton , Santana, Buddy Miles, Larry Baeder, Dave Pimer (Soul
Asylum), Russel Balister (The Funky Meters) and a plethora of others. Chris
is a member of the Legendary Zamiland Orchestra in Atlanta, which includes
Richie Hayward (Little Feat), Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Bela Fleck, Sam
Bush, members of Phish,  and members of Widespread Panic.

Also Composer, bassist and engineer-Robert ?Be-Bob? Grabowski of Miami who
has performed and toured with Spyro Gyra, Randy Johnston, Ira Sullivan and
endless others. Robert has recorded and performed with Phil Strange, Larry
Marshall. Dr. Lonnie Smith, Duffy Jackson, Donald Byrd, Darrel Grant and
endless others. 

There will be many surprises in store with special guest performers and
combined talents presenting a World Class Performance for a 3 day event to
be remembered.

Each of the three event will be customized to the venue and will be
presenting an unveiling of  The PBFS Educational Archival Exhibit
representing segments of the life and career of Paul Butterfield with
memorabilia, Photographs, Art work, and artifacts. Also, coming in from
California is Blues Archivist Painter?George Milo Bucks exhibiting his works
on Blues Performers and painting each performance via his live paintings.
There will be an incredible selection of Silent Auction Prizes, Raffles and
Door prizes?including full Drum sets, Dinners for two, gift baskets, Haitian
Metal Art work, Paintings, Posters of  Paul Butterfield from Hohner
Harmonica, Freedom Blues Festival Tickets, Attraction tickets, Original
signed Little Feat Posters, Art work galore, assorted CD?s,
T-shirts, J-Lo Gift Bags, Yamaha Helmet, Aveda Products, and so much more
This is an excellent opportunity for Christmas shopping while supporting
numerous great causes.

These events will be benefiting The Paul Butterfield Fund and Society
(PBFS), The Boys and Girls Club, ?The Rising Sun Performance Co. (RSPC),
and the Development of a Summer Theatre Arts program for local
underprivileged children.

The agenda for The Southernmost PBFS Launch Party & Fundraiser is a free
affair Dec 17th upstairs
at the Key West Hard Rock Café. Another free event December 18th with a
down-home style blues performance at The Café on 509 Southard Street (both
events are appreciative of donations).
With The Grand Finale, an admission cost extravaganza at The Tropic Cinema
with short film clips taken from Sam Lay?s silent home films and Woodstock
69 from The Historic Films group out of NY.
There will also be ?meet the performers? opportunities, PBFS membership
opportunities,  events sponsor information, silent auctions, free door
prizes (at all events) Paul Butterfield?s Music and an exquisite food
buffet.
