Re: [Harp-L] Talking Harmonica

Yeah, that's an excellent cut and a great book by Tom Ball. I've played at least four tunes in my "Roots Harmonica" show that have had elements of 'talking harmonica': "Mama Blues" by Doc Watson, "Mama Blues" by Wailin' Wood, "Mama Blues" by Pegram & Parham - not all the same - and "Lost John" by Peg Leg Sam. I'll stick 'em back up on the current playlist for a few days for your enjoyment. The playlist is "shuffled", so they won't be consecutive - sorry.

Cheers

Subject: [Harp-L] Talking Harmonica

I was just listening to the Salty Holmes' "Talking Harmonica" song
that was at the end of the CD that came with the Sonny Terry Licks
book by Tom Ball (which is an excellent book). I think this sounds
pretty cool and was wondering if anyone knew of any other recordings
of talking harmonica. Just curious.
