Can anybody suggest a program or tool for slowing down
solos, but not changing pitch? I am sure there is
freeware for this somewhere. Thanks.

Hi Mike,
I'm not certain about software programs, but there are devices like that like Slo-Mo and Back Trac, which range for $99-500 that do exactly that. I wish these things were available when I started out in the early 70's, where the only thing I had was vinyl and when you slowed the record speed down, pitch went down an octave.
