I used to do a Sunday gig with a couple of guitarists to an empty bar for a
while. Between themselves they'd switch between comping and soloing, and
when I played they'd comp and/or play fills.

Ian sings and plays harmonica, Anthony Shortte plays percussion and  James
Bridges plays guitar - between the percussion & guitar, you don't notice
the lack of bass.  I really enjoy their original material and covers of
Mississippi blues artists.  Ian incorporates overblows seamlessly into an
