Tube Question

Greeting All,
 
I need some advice.  
 
I have a Fender 59 RI and a Blues Jr that I gig with.  It's time to replace
some tubes and I'm not sure which ones to get.  I've heard rumors both good
and bad about Russian tubes, Chinese tubes, Groove Tubes, etc.   
 
I know that tone starts with me but I want to get more grit and crunch.
Particularly from the Fender 59 RI.  Yes, I have a tube rectifier.  All
comments and suggestions are welcome.
