I have a wireless SM58 with a Sampson base unit. By far my mic of choice
playing live. The mobility makes for lots of freedom, fun & energy on stage
as well as wandering out into the crowd with ease. I usually will hook into
an AB box so I can go clean thru the PA or through my old Premier Twin 8 at
the click of a switch.

Bottom Line: Wireless works...but don't take the cheap way out...you get
what you pay for.
