Re : recording harp shows

Gary Hodgson asked :

i was curious how you professional harp players ou there feel
about allowing your shows to be recorded and traded? mind you,
i'm not talking about pirating copyrighted material or sharing mp3's
of your albums.

Hurricane Sez :

The current status of of mp3 & the net says one thing to record companys and that " thang " is , you better find a better way to find & promote good talent because the net has talent spread out all over the world and doesn't need you .

Personally video tape all you like at one of my show's and put anything you have of me on the net free is my attitude .

While some may argue that potential CD sales are thwarted , others say that more people who know of you and you music , will come to see you means more work for me live and that is my bread & butter .

So tape away and spread it around , gigs are gigs and the more the merryer , provided like you mentioned your not scabbing off some ones elses labor by selling the video behind their back .

Sincerely :

HR
