Hi Ludo,
Thanks for posting this!!! After reading this interview, I recall hanging
with Mark Hummel during a break at Harry's in Hyannis, MA, a Cape Cod blues
club, and we were talking shop and Joe Filisko's name came into the
conversation after we were talking about the first Sonny Boy, and he
mentioned that Joe Filisko had a far better handle on that style (in terms
of ability to play it) than anyone he ever met, and that after Joe played
three minutes worth of it, Mark tried some of those licks and he felt that
his playing had become far too modern to really do it true justice, and it
proved to him that SBWI's style is nowhere near as simple as most people
think it is.
