The Friedrich Hotz company were a long established firm in
Knittlingen. They were bought out in the early 20th century by Hohner,
who continued to make harmonicas under the Hotz name for several years
as one of their cheaper lines. The Harmonica King was one of the most
popular Hotz models, along with the Atta Boy and American Ace (a
harmonica with the latter name is still being made by Hohner, although
it is really nothing like the old ones).
