Although there are some passing similarities, the music box is an
idiophone (or more specifically, a lamellophone or linguaphone) and
the harmonica is an aerophone. These are two very different means of
tone generation. 

The sound of the music box is that the reeds being plucked, which then
have to be amplified by some sort to make them more clearly audible.

The sound of the harmonics does NOT come primarily from the reeds
themselves, but from a column of air set into motion by the reeds.

These are two very different mechanisms and what works for one does
not necessarily work for the other.
