[Harp-L] Van Morison song

Hi Folks,

I've never posted to this list before although I've read it for a while now.
I have a question that is sort of tough and I thought I'd ask you people
about it. I tried on Harp-talk and although I got a lot of help, nobody
really knew about it.

On Van Morison's CD, Too Long In Exile, he does a cover of Lonely Avenue
that I think is just awesome. I sing in the same range as Van and I want to
learn the harmonica part for the song as well but I can't figure out what
kind of harp it is. It sounds like a Chromatic but I've tried to do the
song on my chro and while I can accompany the song, it sounds nothing like
the harp on the CD. I'm starting to wonder if he isn't using a different
Key Chromatic or maybe even a minor diatonic. I'd be real interested to
hear what any of you, who have this CD, thought about this. It's a really
nice harp solo (it's a little sloppy but this works for the song - far be it
from me to presume what Van may or may not be able to do with a chro; it's
pretty clear the man knows what he's doing) and I'd like to get it down
exactly the same way but I'm clueless as to what harp he's using here. Any
help would be appreciated a lot thanks.
