Oooo...that's bad. Check out this stinker:

When I was checking out the ElectroHarmonix Freedom amp, I checked out the
reviews on Harmony Central. Here's what a harmonica player wrote of his
experience with this amp:

Sound Quality: N/A
I tried, foolishly, to use it for harp. What a joke - no tubes = wrong
sound. It was like playing acoustically, but loud. Don't get me wrong - if
you want to play clean, and LOUD, especially to busk, this is the ticket.
The Bite knob gives some attack distinction and the tone variance is pretty
nice. It's all very very clean and loud. I'll leave the scoring to the
guitarists as I chose the wrong amp for the job.

And here's what a guitarist wrote later:

VERY versatile - great choice for acoustic guitarists! This amp was
designed for "street guitarists", not harpists. I say this because an
earlier poster rated this amp '5', berating it for having 1 input and lack
of a gain knob, then discontinued rating the amp in other catagories,
because they bought the amp and "tried, foolishly, to use it for harp". What
a silly thing to do. Its "features" should be rated according to the
intentions of the manufacturer. I don't think this product was intended for
any other purpose than a simple, portable guitar amp. ATTN: Musicians who
do NOT play guitar, please refer to forums at other websites. Thank you.

Well, I bought the amp anyway. Silly me.

If you're interested, you can check out a sound clip on my website. I've
used it on the streets many a time. For what it is, is does a most decent
job. I'm using it this weekend in a small coffee shop where there's little
room. I want to be amped ever so slightly. Probably stick it under a chair.
My Masco set-up, small as it is, is just too big for even a coffee shop.
This amp is perfect for that.

Anyway, just thought I'd share those remarks at HC.

Ray.
