I see nothing wrong with harp players discussing how they, and their bands dress. The amount of responses to the original post indicates that some members have an interest in the subject. Heck, there's a lot of threads on Harp-L that I couldn't care less about.
If there is a thread I don't like, I don't read it. Barbeque Bob might not read it "power gear" threads. I don't read "Let's talk about Bob Dylan for days" threads. To each his own.
Now, "how to swap trannys on a 65 Pontiac" threads...that might be a problem ;-)
