RE: [Harp-L] overblow begging a question: pronouns ain't our friends

Whatever that means! I'm sure you lost the majority of the list on that
one, haha. Ah, wait now I see, you are referring to the previous
communication where "he" was misconstrued as being one harp tech versus
another as the poster did not make clear who "he" was, thereby offending
the wrong harp tech - whereas if the true "he"/harptech sees or hears of
the post aforesaid poster [who has an affinity for bombastic/double
entendre comments] may be looking for another harp tech, haha.

Heck, I'd be happy if folks replying to posts would put their replies at
the *top* rather than the bottom so I don't have to scroll through tons
of lines of stuff I already read thing looking for the new content they
posted :-)

And, and....remove all but the most recent post or just quote comments
from it for some context, so the thing is smaller (I'm guilt at times of
not doing this).

Ladies and gentlemen, permit me to suggest, in seeking to communicate
with
precision and without offense, the following rule:

"Pronouns are not our friend."

Yeah, it's poor writing style to eschew pronouns, but doing so provides
unambiguous clarity in a chaotic email environment. He, him, they,
her,
she and good ol' it, ain't nothin' at all and all too often the wrong
thing, all at the same time. Even among friends and lovers.

And all of us are at least friends here at Harp-L, even though our human

tendency to err and miscommunicate often blurs that truth.

So *#@% all y'all!! And I mean that in the most positive construction
possible. To you and her and him and the other one too.

Love,

Dave Fertig
