Take a small dab of chicken dookey and put it on your lips-it will lubricate them and keep you from licking em.

This happens to me, occasionally, with my chromatics. It's usually when
I've taken a break from playing it regularly. it goes away after a short
time of steady playing. Kinda like a blister. Bullfrog

I get a lipburn on each side of my top lip when I play my chromatic, or
Golden Melodies, within less than an hour. I have no problems with Marine
Bands at all. Does anyone here know if this an allergy thing maybe, or
embouchre related? I toungeblock only
Thanks,
Joe
