Harmonica is an instrument in which you can not "see" the notes (as on a piano), finger the notes (as on a sax/flute/trumpet), and can not see the technique needed to create the notes. For all intensive purposes, it is an "invisible" instrument, as is singing. To master it, you must hear the sound of the correct pitches in your inner ear, something not necessary for most other instruments. You must also fully learn about your own inner throat, tongue, muscles that move them and how they interact, eliminating unnecessary movements until you get to the essence of control.
