[Harp-L] Feedback from bass

I've noticed that my amps feedback from adjusting bass
levels way before the highs or mids. Any advice?

I usually try to run the highs and lows about equal
and the mids down a bit. For example, I can run the
highs at 4, and the mids at 3, but the bass feedsback
at anything higher then two (at high volumes..for
practice at home I don't get loud enough for anything
to squeal). I've tried leaving it down and using a
Harp Commander to boost the bass, but that didn't
help.

I use a vocal mic in to a HC then to the amp. This
has been happening regardless of the amp I use. It is
hard for me to judge bass response close to my amp,
but I am worried that my sound may suffer further out
into the crowd. It seems like a lot of harp players
have the bass really cranked, and I am worried about
sounding real tiny.
