Re: [Harp-L] New subject: Why is a harmonica called a harp?

Once upon a time in Boston at the turn of the century, there was this famous
harp virtuoso by the name of Augustus Filisko.

Is there any relationship with Joe Filisko??

In France, we say about Harp players (the string instrument): they spend half of their time to tune their harps and the other half to play out of tune!!!

That's might be why harmonica is nicknamed HARP!!! Ha ha ha!!
