You're not going to believe this....I was just listening to Pat Ramsey and his Blues Disciples on the internet.....check it out at www.patramsey.com I particulary like Jammin In The Jungle.
Ramsey has been to the Buckingham twice in the past year.

Hey Ken/ Mojo
OK it's not Tampa, but on 2/7 you would be advised to head a few hours SOUTH to Fort Myers to hear that MONSTER of a harp player (who never travels to Colorado!)...Pat Ramsey. He's at a place called the Beached Whale that night.

...I find that I must travel to Tampa Fla., Feb. 7-9
and would surely love to hear some good blues while
I'm in town....

OK, when this came across the screen, I was quite piqued. But, unfortunately, I had to go to the grand re-opening of "the Brick" (re-stablished after a several year haitus and home to Dennis "Doc" Booth and the Mambo brothers). They will take Fri nite (for blues), and we are negotiating Sat or Sun (for jazz).

Pat Ramsey has been to the Buckingham Blues bar (one of my haunts/wed) at least twice in 04. I was unable to attend. He followed Cheryl Arena into this venue and was VERY well received. Now, onto the Beached Whale.
Tampa is more than a two hour drive. Tampa is 85 miles from ME, and 'I' am 55 miles from Ft. Myers. BUT, that's to FT. MYERS. Beached Whale is at Ft. Myers BEACH, ( cross town traffic from I-75)
It is just down the block from 2 of my 'other' haunts (the Orpheus/sun & the Barking Shark/sat). Pat will be there on a monday (2/7/05).

While monday is not a 'mayhem' day, arrive in town early as parking can be a nightmare. I'll probably park back by the dumpster at the Orpheus.
