Aha -- thanks for the clarification, Chris.  I'm not familiar with 
this unit so I shall withold judgement, however logic would indeed 
suggest to me that an analogue delay would be warmer than digital. 
And given a choice I'm an analogue kind of guy. (Our new CD was an 
all analogue recording.)

Having said that, though, I still prefer reverb to any delay I've 
heard. <shrug>  Still I'll keep my ears open for the DM-2; maybe I'll 
change my mind? <g>
