Re: [Harp-L] Personal Monitors

Well Bill, you described a setup to the tee that I use when going to a PA. I don't use a headphone-just use the Pignose for the monitor. The Commander enables me to get the sound I want.

The small Pignose Hog20 amp has a headphones out jack that you could
probably hook into some low-profile earbuds. It's battery powered and
the rechargeable batteries seem to last forever. When not using the
headphone out jack, you could just use it for a standing monitor. So if
you did something like run your mic into a Harp Commander (or similar
device) which has two outputs - one for your smaller monitor amp and the
other for the larger out-front amp or PA, you could do this.

There are personal monitors that go in your ear, you see the big-time
pro performers using them, but I think they're real expensive. I'm
curious to know about those as well.

Hey Folks,

Does anybody know of a kind of personal instrument monitor that I could
buy? By personal monitor I mean one that would monitor my amp and got to
an ear-plug/ear-phone type thing so that others wouldn't hear it. I
think this would be great as it would allow me to put my amp out front
and still be able to hear what I'm doing. If anybody knows where I
could get a look at something like this let mw know. Thanks.
