RE: [Harp-L] Gear

I must say that overall I think Harmonica is probably the cheapest or one of the cheapest instruments you can pick up, whether you choose to blow it through a top of the line Sonny Jr. or acoustic on the street is up to you. I must say however, that investing in something like a Sonny Jr. Compared to spending 10 years trying all kinds of different solutions and in the long run spending lots more money, as I'm sure many of us have done, is frustrating to say the least. This is something only you can decide. Look at it this way a new Bassman RI here in Toronto is about $1,600.00 then you have to modify and buy tubes etc. When all is said and done the Sonny jr starts to look pretty dang appealing. Oh and unless you know an expert harp player who is also an expert amp tech you still won't end up with a Sonny Jr.
It's all in you're interpretation of how you estimate value. I look at it this way Stronger Tone and better sound = improved confidence better audience response greater performance this equals more gigs + more money = you just paid for your amp.

Gee Charles, why don't you spend tens of thousands on research, build a
product from scratch with all the overhead and business hassles and outpouring of
money, then offer it to us for $500, I will take TWO>
