[Harp-L] Christmas Harp

Hi,
Sorry if I missed something...I don't have time to read all of the notes,
but did try to check out Charlie McCoy's site for a start.
I could not find any samples of his music. Is there a website somewhere with
samples of harp music we can try before we buy? Can we purchase a download?
If all of this is in the archives or yesterday's notes, I am sorry to bother
you.
I just tried downloading an album last night for the first time. Not too bad
for this very old connection of only 26,400bpm! I went to town for a few
hours and it was done when I got home! I am slowly catching up to the rest
of the world.
And, I am beginning to understand a tiny bit of what you all are talking
about. :>) Reading what I have has helped a lot. I am just sorry I don't
have more time to read and learn more! I know... the archives are
there...Thank you!
I want you to know I tried the Bushman harps...the low ones mainly because,
for some reason, I can never get a low D in Special 20 that sounds right.
The rest are fine, though. But the challenge here is that I have been using
the Turbo-Lids for years and absolutely love them. They sound good, are so
easy to use, and I know each key by the color. I have allergies, so that was
a God-send! But the Bushies won't fit and I have to learn how to hold them!
The Turbos are so much easier to handle. Don't laugh too hard! The Bushman
harps sound great, but I hope TurboDoc(g) will come up with a lid for them,
too. I thought there was a difference, but I guess it was a prejudice
because when I played each, first one then the other, no one else could tell
the difference...but then NO ONE but me could hear what was driving me nuts
with the low D, either. The Bushman D was very refreshing. I don't know why
the D sounds so odd to me in the Spec. 20. Anyone else notice it?
Well, thanks again!
Thanks,
Lesley
