[Harp-L] repair notes

Concerning higher blow notes in holes 8,9,10. Put the tip if your tongue against the bottom of the hole you are playing and single out that hole. As you blow let your jaw change the notes bend by a slight dropping and raising of the jaw. Your tongue will form a cupped in shape especially on the number 10 hole bends. This a very easy way to control the note. Requires "very little air" and gives a single clear tone. You can waver the note up and down or bend the note up or bend the note down or make separate notes going up or down.

It is like saying, weeeoooo weeeooo while keeping the tongue against the bottom of the hole. 2 seperate (blow)bent notes are between the normal blow and draw notes on holes 8,9,10.

This is a very relaxed technique. But it does require more concentration on higher keyed harps in hole 10, say 'C' and above. It is pretty much effortless on lower keyed harps Bb and lower.

The cupped tongue and jaw work together to play these blow bends using subtle movements. Mess around with this concept and find your own sweet spots with the technique.
