1) The Airlines I've flown with don't have bottled water....usually only
seltzer....or ice water from their onboard machines ....and most people long
ago read what I did...that airline water was tested and found unsafe to drink
because it contains more contaminants than the toilets since the machines were
inadequately cleaned..making it far safer to carry on one's own bottled
water...ergo my reasons for doing so.

 2) My medical issues require I take my meds prior to take off.
"they" don't begin to serve juices, seltzer, sodas until the plane is
already in the air.

3) people with certain other medical problems are continually told to stay
hydrated with plain water onboard long trips, another reason I carry my own.

4) Besides harmonicas, MY carry-on harp bag/case contains my tool kit.....a
small bottle labeled and containing 91% rubbing alcohol, Maas polish, a mic
with cord, tape deck with ear phones.....any or all of which could be
construed by a screener and/or security xray machine in today's charged atmosphere
to be "suspect" and all of which most certainly pertain to harmonicas.

The focus is on liquids and electronic devices, neither of which pertains to
harmonicas.

Aside from electronic effects boxes, digital delays, etc, for carry on ONLY,
if you can deal with the longer security check and having to play the
harmonicas for them, it shouldn't be a problem.

Also, they should have water and juices on board for passangers to drink.
